UAB “ELSIS biuro sistemos” has successfully implemented e.democracy project in Ignalina District Municipality – ”Implementation of a system for Council session video and audio recording, broadcasting, and publishing on the web". E.democracy projects directed toward modernization of public administration by using latest information and communication technologies. The main goals - activate the interaction between people and public administration institutions, increas public influence to political decisions, make the public administration process more transparent. Shortly - give a population the opportunity to express their opinion on matters important to them.

The main purpose of implemented system - record municipal council events and broadcast them via the Internet or on-demand, make videos, edit, store and publish content through a specialized web portal. After implementation residents of Ignalina District will be able to not only directly watch discussions on matters important to them, but also submit their questions during the live session in electronic way.

The system consists of a server, a specialized video and audio content synchronization and processing equipment, high-quality video cameras with remote control, wireless microphones, a specialized web portal for external users.

The project is being funded by the EU Structural Funds and state budget of the Republic of Lithuania.
