Project description:

SFMIS is a state information system designed for statistical and financial data, related to SPD (Single Programming Document) implementation for 2004-2006 period, EU Structural and Cohesion Funds financial support, collection, processing and reporting for 2007-2013 support period, European Economic Area (EEE) and Norwegian Financial Mechanisms (NOR) management and supervision for 2009-2014 period, EU Structural Funds financial support, collection, processing and reporting for 2014-2020 support period.

SFMIS secures timely information transmission to the EU Commission, ensuring required controllability and accountability of the whole process. SFMIS is a result of further modernization and development of previous system considering new requirements, rules and regulations of EU, new structure of used documents, increased amount of information, new management and control system. Simplification and acceleration of the processes of administration and of the procedures of filling in and loading of the documents to be submitted into the system served as the principal goals of the SFMIS2014 system.

During the SFMIS2014 project implementation the following goals were achieved:

  • Modified the SFMIS system by creating the SFMIS2014 subsystem, which allows implementation of new 2014-2020 EU structural support administration processes, changes in the programming document structure, national and EU legislation;
  • Created opportunities for servicing new period service recipients more efficiently, implementing a possibility to make use of e-services provided via various channels – switch to the submission and storage of e-documents, the use of the functionalities of e-signature and e-communication.
