Project description:Solar radiation measuring equipment is installed at Šilutė Meteorological Station. The project was implemented together with the Dutch company „Kipp&Zonen”, the manufacturer of equipment. The solar radiation measuring equipment will permit to measure very precisely the direct and indirect solar radiation in the wide range, starting from the UV and ending with the far IR. After price configuring and positioning the equipment will operate fully automatically transmitting all the date of measurements to the central database of the service.
The solar radiation measurements serve as a very important part of meteorological observations because the solar radiation determines almost all dynamic processes of the surface of the land.
