UAB „ELSIS TS“ has signed a contract with the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service under the Ministry of Environment on the renewal of old and worn-out equipment of water measuring stations as well as the expansion of the hydrological measurements performed. During the implementation of the contract various hydrological measuring equipment will be provided and installed: water level and temperature as well as air temperature measurement sensors, data storage and transmission systems, sensors measuring the velocity of water flow, water flow meters, electric water thermometers. The main equipment suppliers/ manufacturers are “Global Water”, „Vaisala“ and „OTT Hydrometry“.
The procurement is carried out under the project “Hydrological Monitoring Network Optimization and Development”, which is financed using the funds of the European Regional Development Fund of the European Union for 2007 – 2013 as well as the funds of the Lithuanian state budget. The contract value is more than 0,43 mln. Litas (0,12 mln. EUR).
